This Privacy Policy applies only to our online activities and is valid for visitors to our website with regards to the information that they shared and/or collect in Pawaka Labs. Information we collect
The personal information that you are asked to provide, and the reasons why you are asked to provide it, will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide your personal information.
If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, phone number, the contents of the message and/or attachments you may send us, and any other information you may choose to provide.
When you register for an Account, we may ask for your contact information, including items such as name, company name, address, email address, and telephone number.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect in various ways, including to:

Browser Extensions (Fakey and others)
This section applies specifically to our browser extensions, including Fakey – Manga Translator, and describes the data they collect, how it is handled, where it is stored, and who it is shared with. It supplements the rest of this policy.
What data the extension handles
Depending on which features you use, the extension processes the following:
- Content you choose to send for AI processing. When you actively trigger a feature, the extension sends the relevant content to our backend (
borang.skrin.xyz) for processing. This may include: manga page images (by URL or as a screenshot of the area you select), screenshots captured from the active tab (“Snip and Ask AI”), the text or image content of a Google Form you ask it to answer, and the URL or content of a page or YouTube video you ask it to summarize. The extension only reads and transmits page content when you explicitly invoke one of these actions — it does not continuously read, monitor, or collect your browsing activity in the background. - Account information. If you sign in, we process the account details associated with your Pawaka Labs / Skrin account (such as your name and email address) and your subscription and remaining-credit status. Authentication is handled through
skrin.xyzusing cookies; the extension does not store your password. - Locally stored preferences and input values. Your translation settings (such as source and target language) and any form input values you explicitly choose to save with the “Save Input Values” feature are stored locally in your browser using the browser’s storage, keyed by the page URL. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
We do not collect health, financial, or location data, and we do not track your browsing history.
How the data is processed and stored
- Content you send for AI processing is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our backend, used only to generate the result you requested (a translation, answer, or summary), and is processed and then discarded — we do not retain your submitted images, screenshots, or page content after the request is completed.
- Locally stored settings and saved input values remain in your browser’s local storage on your own device until you clear them (for example, by removing the saved values or uninstalling the extension).
Who the data is shared with
To perform AI processing, the content you submit is sent to the following third-party AI providers, who process it on our behalf:
These providers process the content solely to return a result and in accordance with their respective privacy policies. We do not sell your data, and we do not use the content you submit through the extension for advertising.
Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions needed to function: access to the active tab and tabs (to read the content you ask it to act on and to capture screenshots you request), context menus (to provide its right-click actions), and local storage (to save your settings and input values on your device). Host access is limited to skrin.xyz for communicating with our backend.
Your choices
You can stop all data processing at any time by uninstalling the extension, which also removes its locally stored data. You may also clear saved input values and settings from within the extension. To request deletion of your account data, contact us using the details below.
Log Files
Pawaka Labs follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
Microsoft Clarity
We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimisation, fraud/security purposes, and advertising. Advertising Partners Privacy Policies

Third-party ad servers or ad networks uses technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on Pawaka Labs, which are sent directly to users’ browser. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit.
Note that Pawaka Labs has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.
Third Party Privacy Policies
Pawaka Labs’ Privacy Policy does not apply to other advertisers or websites. Thus, we are advising you to consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information. It may include their practices and instructions about how to opt-out of certain options.

Pawaka Labs does not knowingly collect any Personal Identifiable Information from children under the age of 13.
