Infinity Castle Part 1 ended with Akaza. Part 2 has no release date, no trailer, and no window beyond “still in production,” which realistically puts it in 2027 or later. The rest of the story is already finished and in print, and you can read it this weekend. Here is exactly where to start.

Part 1 was not a modest hit. It opened in Japan on 18 July 2025, went worldwide on 12 September, and finished at $793.5 million globally with ¥40.24 billion at the Japanese box office, the second-biggest domestic release in the country’s history, behind only Mugen Train. ufotable and Haruo Sotozaki turned 18 chapters of manga into one of the highest-grossing anime films ever made.

Then it went quiet. At a ufotable event in February 2026, the only update anyone got on Part 2 was that it is still in the works. No date, no teaser, nothing. The studio’s headline project for 2026 is Witch on the Holy Night, the Type-Moon adaptation landing on 20 November, which on its own makes a 2026 Demon Slayer film impossible. So 2027 is the earliest anyone can reasonably expect it, and Part 3 comes after that.

To be clear, nobody has delayed anything. ufotable never promised a 2026 date. It’s just that a trilogy announced back in June 2024 is now one film in with no timeline for the other two.

Meanwhile the manga finished in May 2020.

Where Infinity Castle Part 1 ends in the manga

Part 1 covers chapters 140 to 157, which is 18 chapters, roughly two volumes of material stretched into a feature film. It ends on the resolution of the Tanjiro and Giyu fight with Akaza, which lands at the start of chapter 157.

So the jump-in point is clean. Start at chapter 158. That’s partway into volume 18, and it picks up with Kanao against Doma, which is presumably where Part 2 starts whenever it arrives.

If you’d rather have the full arc in one sitting, the Infinity Castle arc begins at chapter 140 and runs unbroken to the end of the series at chapter 205.
